PLC Insurance and Fireman's Fund Insurance Company teamed up to donate $13,636 to Snohomish County Fire District #1 to help fund training and expenses for Topper, the districts arson dog.

Topper is a critical member of the Snohomish Fire community, said Mike Rucker with PLC Insurance. We are lucky to have him working within our communities and are proud to support him with this grant. 

The grant package is part of a nationwide philanthropic program funded by Fireman's Fund Insurance Company, through their independent agents and brokers. The program is designed to provide needed equipment, training and educational tools to local fire departments. 

This is the second grant PLC Insurance has been able to provide to local fire departments. Previously a check for $6,237 was donated to the Lynnwood Fire Department to purchase a much needed stair chair that enables fire fighters to better transport injured or otherwise incapacitated people up or down stairs.
