Jerry Kiser
Partner at PLC Insurance

Jerry has been in the insurance business since 1974. He attended Emporia State Teachers College prior to joining the Marketing Division of the Western Insurance Companies in Fort Scott, KS. Western Insurance brought a transfer to Seattle, WA. Later Jerry joined Transamerica Insurance Company in their Marketing Division working with large metropolitan and national insurance brokers. Before joining PLC Insurance he worked for a national insurance brokerage with the solicitation, placement and servicing of various types of commercial accounts.

Jerry has two children and two grandsons that all live locally. He currently sits on the CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) Education Committee as well as on the Board of Directors of the Professional Insurance Agents of WA/AK, of which he is past president, receiving both Agent of Year and Chairman of Year awards. He is also a longtime member of the University Lions Club.

His passion is his family, friends and fellow employees at PLC. He enjoys long weekend travels and a good sporting event.

Tim McLean
Partner at PLC Insurance

After serving in the U.S. Naval Air during the Viet Nam conflict, Tim finished his degree in Radio and Television Advertising at Eastern Washington University in 1974. His entry into the insurance industry was with the Allstate Insurance Company as an underwriter. Tim then went into marketing for various insurance companies and began his career as an agent and broker in 1993. An opportunity arose to merge his company with PLC Insurance LLC, and that was accomplished in 1998.

Tim’s concentration is in commercial lines including but not limited to manufacturing, distribution, construction, environmental services, large retail and owners of commercial property. After over 30 years in the business, there isn’t much Tim hasn’t had the opportunity to work on.

Tim and his wife Teri have four children and three grand children with more on the way. They enjoy just about any type of activity including skiing and snowboarding, golf, walking, hiking, bicycling, tennis, and traveling. They are also very active in the local Lymphoma Research Foundation, working as board members to raise funding for research for this blood cancer.

Darwin Rieck
Partner at PLC Insurance

Darwin began his insurance career as a Commercial Underwriter with Safeco Insurance in San Francisco, and followed with Great American Insurance where he progressed to Underwriting Manager with assignments in California, Minnesota and Seattle. In 1982, he became an Independent Agent/Broker. He serves personal and commercial clients in most industries and professions including nonprofit organizations.

Darwin is a native of Minnesota and has a Math degree from South Dakota State University and a MBA degree from Golden Gate University, San Francisco. He has designations as a CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) and AAI (Accredited Advisor in Insurance). Prior to insurance, he served 4 years in the Air Force as a officer.

Darwin enjoys volunteer work including over 30 years in the Ballard Rotary Service Club serving on several boards including the Rotary Board, Rotary Foundation Board and Rotary International Youth Exchange Board. Darwin is married and has two adult children. He enjoys outdoor activities including jogging, hiking, biking, downhill skiing, spectator sports and traveling internationally.

Dan Rucker
Partner at PLC Insurance

Dan began his career in the insurance industry at PLC Insurance in 1994 while attending college at Western Washington University. After graduating from WWU with a degree in Finance in 1996, Dan was moved into a production role for PLC Insurance. Dan became a Partner in the agency in 2006.

He works with a wide variety of clients in many different business segments. While many of Dan’s clients work in the Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail & Service segments, this region of the country offers a unique opportunity with Import & Export trade, and many of Dan’s clients have business activities outside the borders of the Continental United States.

Dan is a family man first and foremost. He has a loving wife, Jen, and 3 young children. He enjoys coaching his boys’ sports teams, hunting, skiing, movies, music & a number of other typical past-times.

Something you might not know about Dan: He was elected “Class Clown” in high school. Contrary to current popular opinion, he was not always “boring”!

Mike Rucker
Partner at PLC Insurance

Mike is an account executive who works with clients primarily headquartered in the Pacific Northwest. He consults with clients to develop effective property and liability insurance and risk management programs to respond to individual business objectives. Since joining PLC in 1993, Mike has built a solid base of clients in the construction, manufacturing, wholesale/distribution, and retail business segments. He also serves as the commercial insurance operations manager at PLC.

Mike grew up in the insurance industry and began his career in 1979 while still in high school. In 1985 he graduated from Portland State University with a degree in business administration. He obtained his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1988.

Community service is important to Mike and his family. He currently serves on the board of directors of Work Opportunities a non-profit organization that has been providing vocational services to persons with disabilities since 1963. In his spare time Mike enjoys outdoor activities and coaching youth sports.

Mike and his wife Monica have lived in Mill Creek for the past 21 years. They have two grown children.

Sarah Fray
Account Executive at PLC Insurance

Sarah began in the insurance industry as a receptionist for a small insurance agency in Bellevue in 1998. She moved on to PLC Insurance in 2000 as a Commercial Accounts Manager responsible for managing a large Commercial Insurance book of business while assisting and training in business insurance sales. In January of 2004 she began in sales on her own.

While Sarah has expertise writing all types of business insurance, she has become the agency's expert in auto services and technology businesses. She also helps the agency with its own IT Systems and is consistently looking for ways to more effectively and efficiently serve our customers.

Sarah attended the University of Washington while in the midst of building her career, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in 2006. She became a licensed insurance agent in 1999, graduated top of her class from the Safeco Agent School that same year, and became a Certified Insurance Counselor in 2004.

Sarah is a mother of a cheery 1 ½ year old girl, with another on the way. She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, scrapbooking and participating in her Church’s activities.

Scott Roberts
Account Executive at PLC Insurance

Scott has been with PLC Insurance since 2002 and has worked in a number of capacities. While he attended college at the University of Washington Scott worked in many different roles from telemarketing to supporting the producers.

Licensed in 2004 as an insurance agent, Scott took on the role of Personal Lines Producer after graduating with a degree in Global Studies. With great success Scott learned the ropes of the insurance industry by helping to bring in new clients and help our current customers to fulfill all of their insurance needs. Scott has now moved into his current role as an Account Executive in Commercial Insurance.

Cyndi Jewett
Account Manager at PLC Insurance

Cyndi has been an insurance agent since 1991 and has extensive experience in working with Personal Insurance clients. While she worked with direct writers early in her career with Farmers & Allstate Insurance, she has been on the Independent agency side for the last 10 years. Cyndi definitely prefers the options that she can provide her clients as an Independent Agent.

She was born and raised in Lynnwood and settled down to raise her family in Edmonds. She loves the Northwest!

Cyndi is married with 2 children. She works very hard in the PTA, and volunteers as a volleyball coach for the local Boys & Girls Club. She also spends time as a volunteer with PAWS.

Some of her personal interests are family, friends, volunteering, photography, scrapbooking, crafts, cooking and sports.

Louise Johnson
Account Manager at PLC Insurance

Louise started working in the insurance industry in 1978 as an "Insurance Secretary" after graduating from college with her Associates Degree in Arts and Science. Throughout this time she has worked as a licensed insurance agent exclusively for Independent Insurance Agencies and has specialized in assisting clients with their personal insurance. She has been with PLC Insurance since 2003 and obtained her CIC designation in 2005.

Louise was born and raised in Washington and resides with her husband of 31 years, along with their pets: a pomeranian, a cat and a bunny. She has two grown children and one granddaughter.

Her passions are her family and traveling.

Renee Vail
Account Manager at PLC Insurance

Renee started her insurance career in 1976 at Liberty Mutual Insurance. She then moved to the agency side of the business in 1980 working in personal lines and writing auto insurance for drivers with challenging driving records. PLC has been her home in the insurance world since 1991.

The advantage of being with the same agency for 20 years is that she has had the pleasure of working with most of our clients at some point over the years. Renee believes that from her experience, PLC has the best clients in the industry!

Renee and her husband Steve have 5 kids, Justin, Jayme, Ryan, Jonathan and Kyle. She also has 4 grandchildren, Kylie, Emma, Allison and Jayden. Renee and Steve are avid boaters and enjoy camping (in a camper, no tent for her) in the summer months. She also enjoys making cards, scrapbooking, quilting and watching football. Go Hawks!!!

Heather Jablinske
Customer Service at PLC Insurance

Heather started her career in the insurance industry at PLC in 1992 working as a receptionist while going to community college. She obtained her agent’s license in 1997 and then moved onto working as an assistant in the personal lines department. She excels at helping our clients with any and all of their billing and policy questions.

Heather and her husband, Rod have been married for 16 years and have three wonderful children. PLC has enabled Heather to have a great balance between work and family life.

Heather was born and raised in Edmonds and now resides in Mill Creek. She is on the PTA at her children’s school and volunteers weekly in their classrooms. She also helped design and build a new playground for the school.

When she is not at work, you can find her running around to taekwondo, swimming, dance, soccer, baseball or YMCA classes for her kids. She enjoys being with her friends, family and traveling.

Annika Jurun
Commercial Account Manager at PLC Insurance

Annika has been working in the commercial insurance industry for more than 10 years, starting shortly after graduating from the University of Washington in 1999 with a degree in English Literature. She later received the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2005. Annika has worked with a large variety of accounts in all industries including Technology, Manufacturing and Professional Services. She enjoys the challenges and complexities of the insurance industry and how there is always something new to learn.

Annika is the mother of a rambunctious young son and enjoys spending time with her family, friends and relaxing with a good book when there is a spare moment.

Cynthia Wolf-Dickerson
Commercial Account Manager at PLC Insurance

Cynthia has been a licensed agent working in the commercial insurance industry for more than 15 years. She has had the unique opportunity of providing customer service to Commercial Marine Insurance clients in addition to a wide variety of Commercial Property Casualty accounts.

Cynthia has enjoyed playing golf and fishing since she and her husband Darrell raised their daughter. In 2009 Cynthia and Darrell were blessed with their grandson, Tylin. Since then, the golf and fishing have become second to grandparenting, which we enjoy tremendously.
