Mike Rucker Mike is an account executive who works with clients primarily headquartered in the Pacific Northwest. He consults with clients to develop effective property and liability insurance and risk management programs to respond to individual business objectives. Since joining PLC in 1993, Mike has built a solid base of clients in the construction, manufacturing, wholesale/distribution, and retail business segments. He also serves as the commercial insurance operations manager at PLC.

Mike grew up in the insurance industry and began his career in 1979 while still in high school. In 1985 he graduated from Portland State University with a degree in business administration. He obtained his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1988.
Community service is important to Mike and his family. He currently serves on the board of directors of Work Opportunities a non-profit organization that has been providing vocational services to persons with disabilities since 1963. In his spare time Mike enjoys outdoor activities and coaching youth sports.
Mike and his wife Monica have lived in Mill Creek for the past 21 years. They have two grown children.
Dan Rucker Dan began his career in the insurance industry at PLC Insurance in 1994 while attending college at Western Washington University. After graduating from WWU with a degree in Finance in 1996, Dan was moved into a production role for PLC Insurance. Dan became a Partner in the agency in 2006.

He works with a wide variety of clients in many different business segments. While many of Dan’s clients work in the Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail & Service segments, this region of the country offers a unique opportunity with Import & Export trade, and many of Dan’s clients have business activities outside the borders of the Continental United States.
Dan is a family man first and foremost. He has a loving wife, Jen, and 3 young children. He enjoys coaching his boys’ sports teams, hunting, skiing, movies, music & a number of other typical past-times.
Something you might not know about Dan: He was elected “Class Clown” in high school. Contrary to current popular opinion, he was not always “boring”!
Sarah Fray Sarah began in the insurance industry as a receptionist for a small

insurance agency in Bellevue in 1998. She moved on to PLC Insurance in
2000 as a Commercial Account Manager responsible for managing a large
Commercial Insurance book of business while assisting and training in
business insurance sales. In January of 2004 she began to build her own
book of business, and was made a partner in 2013.
Sarah attended the University of Washington while in the midst of building
her career, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in
2006. She became a licensed insurance agent in 1999, graduated top of her
class from the Safeco Agent School that same year, and became a Certified
Insurance Counselor in 2004.
While Sarah has expertise writing all types of business insurance, she has
become the agency's expert in technology business. She also helps the
agency with its own IT Systems and is consistently looking for ways to more
effectively and efficiently serve our customers without compromising
Sarah is a mother of two wonderful small children. She enjoys spending
time with her family, cooking, scrapbooking and participating in her
Darwin Rieck Darwin began his insurance career as a Commercial Underwriter with Safeco Insurance in San Francisco, and followed with Great American Insurance where he progressed to Underwriting Manager with assignments in California, Minnesota and Seattle. In 1982, he became an Independent Agent/Broker. He serves personal and commercial clients in most industries and professions including nonprofit organizations.

Darwin is a native of Minnesota and has a Math degree from South Dakota State University and a MBA degree from Golden Gate University, San Francisco. He has designations as a CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) and AAI (Accredited Advisor in Insurance). Prior to insurance, he served 4 years in the Air Force as a officer.
Darwin enjoys volunteer work including over 30 years in the Ballard Rotary Service Club serving on several boards including the Rotary Board, Rotary Foundation Board and Rotary International Youth Exchange Board. Darwin is married and has two adult children. He enjoys outdoor activities including jogging, hiking, biking, downhill skiing, spectator sports and traveling internationally.

finished his degree in Radio and Television Advertising at Eastern
Washington University in 1974. His entry into the insurance industry was
with the Allstate Insurance Company as an underwriter. Tim then went into
marketing for various insurance companies and began his career as an agent
and broker in 1993. An opportunity arose to merge his company with PLC
Insurance LLC, and that was accomplished in 1998.
Tim’s concentration is in commercial lines including but not limited to
manufacturing, distribution, construction, environmental services, large
retail and owners of commercial property. After over 30 years in the
business, there isn’t much Tim hasn’t had the opportunity to work on.
Tim and his wife Teri have four children and four grandchildren. They enjoy
just about any type of activity including golf, walking, hiking, bicycling,
tennis, and traveling. They are also very active in the local Lymphoma
Research Foundation, working as board members to raise funding for research
for this blood cancer.
Sean King Sean began his insurance career in 1998. As a Washington State resident, he serves hundreds of local businesses but has clients all across the country and some overseas. He has been a board member of the YMCA for over 14 years and has served in many leadership positions within their organization as a volunteer. He and his wife are also active in their local community and have raised both of their children, now 21 and 17 in Snohomish County. He has served on the board of several organizations and has supported through service and philanthropy great organizations including the Everett Gospel Mission, the Boys & Girls Club, & Rotary. He most recently sat as a board member for the Sno-Isle Library system.

Sean has developed a reputation in underwriting and Agency circles as an expert in both commercial and personal insurance. He has key partnerships with organizations that provide legal services, Labor and Industries cost reduction programs and risk management services.

Brandon Turner Brandon Turner was born in Richmond, Virginia on August 17, 1990, moved to Washington and settled in Renton at a young age. Brandon attended Kentridge High School where he received a football scholarship from the US Naval Academy. At the US Naval Academy, Brandon studied Economics and was a member of the Navy Football Brotherhood. After an attempt to play in the NFL, Brandon has found insurance to be his 'second love'.

Jan Fernandez Jan heads the employee benefits division with over 20 years of understanding employers and employees healthcare financing needs. Jan started her adventure in benefits as the Human Resource Director of a manufacturing company for over eight years. Managing the company’s self-funded health plan for 600 employees in four different states, then moving on to building self-funded health plans with third party administrators; Jan’s experiences have given her the ability to identify the needs of the client, develop the right solution and see it through. Consulting with small, medium, and large employer groups on healthcare options for their employees makes her job worthwhile. Jan believes that “companies know what they make; it’s not their job to know what kind of insurance to offer for their employees, that’s my job.”

Building customized employer sponsored health plans creates unique and cost saving alternatives to traditional health insurance. Jan has worked with large municipalities with over 1,200 employee lives down to small 75 employee life privately held law firms as well as several non-profit agencies to include; medical practices, early childhood development, and public defenders. She has also worked with medical practices integrating their own tier of healthcare treatment to off-set the cost of re-insurance. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from City University.

Jan has one daughter, and a “senior citizen” Labrador retriever. She serves on the board of directors as a past president for the South King County Society for Human Resource Managers. She also serves as treasurer for a non-profit seasonal haunted attraction, “The Haunted Forest of Maple Valley”, that provides fundraising for youth organizations in the community and enjoys sewing, camping, back packing, and spending time with her dog.

He prides himself in providing useful, cost effective benefits solutions to businesses in the area. Brandon is an active member of the Snohomish County Society of Human Resource Management and National Association of Health Underwriters.
