AMOS USA, Inc learns more about their exposures to losses in their business and receives a more comprehensive insurance program after working with PLC to evaluate their insurance needs.
After meeting with the client and doing a full analysis of the insured’s operations and a review of their insurance program, we found that the insured had a significant exposure to losses that were not covered under their insurance program.
A significant liability exposure for a technology company is the risk of financial loss to their customers should their software or service fail. This type of loss is not covered under a general liability policy in absence of direct loss to tangible property or bodily injury to a person, and an errors and omissions policy is needed. The client’s current program did not include this type of coverage.
Additionally, the client did a lot of travel and sales overseas. Under their current program suits brought outside the US were not covered, and employees overseas were not covered for injury while traveling abroad.
With our broad expanse of insurance company options, we provided the client with a proposal for their insurance program which added Errors & Omissions liability and a Foreign Liability policy with coverage for their employees should they be injured while overseas. Even with these added coverages we were able to reduce the insured’s premium significantly.
A happy client who is now better informed of their exposures to loss, has a better insurance plan in place to pick up previously uninsured claims, and has continued to keep their insurance costs down.
