Flood Insurance Options

Flood Insurance is offered through the National Flood Insurance Program.

Changes due to building and development can create a flood hazard in areas that are in moderate to low-risk areas  and  have not flooded previously.  You do not have to be in a high-risk flood zone to be eligible for flood insurance. 

According to the National Flood Insurance Program, nearly 25% of flood insurance claims come from moderate-to-low risk areas. Premiums in a low-risk zone can be as low as $119 per year.
